The Colombia Zona Story

It all started with an unexpected trip to the City of Bogota. First time with eyes wide open and amazed by this special city (highest altitude capital on the planet). As time progressed was exposed to the coffee bean ecosystem and especially the challenges of growing the beans.

I learned the hand-picked Colombian coffee beans (not mechanical like some countries) provided quality by the growers and they also used a post-water soak to condition the flavor and aroma. Colombia is the third largest provider of high-quality global coffee beans on the planet. 

Next, the opportunity to provide additional value to the coffee beans and initially thought of cosmetics but was derailed by an economic analysis I did for a coffee bean farm (another long story). A market analysis pointed to the question, of why none of the B2B distributors were moving CBD Coffee. Asking several distributors if their interest was there for CBD coffee, but they needed the CBD inside the green coffee bean. This was their means of processing and distributing as a requirement for longevity of shelf life!

Hitting the science books and literature, a method was invented (patent pending) on how to place CBD inside the green coffee bean, and subsequently a proven process was verified.
